A new website, an existing site, custom software, an accessibility problem, and an inherited app don't start the same way. We identify the right starting point, make the work visible, and stay involved after the initial problem is solved.
You don't need to know which service you need before contacting us. Start with the problem — we'll help determine the path.
Start with the situation—not an internal service name.
1
New website
Build and launch on a monthly website plan.
2
Existing site
Take over the site you already own.
3
Custom build
Scope and quote the engineering separately.
4
Accessibility
Scan, audit, remediate, then monitor.
5
App rescue
Review ownership and risk, then stabilize.
Define clearly · make visible · build or fix · stay responsible
01One engineering team
Different starting points. The same operating principles.
The exact steps depend on what you're asking us to do. What stays consistent is that we define the problem clearly, make the work visible, and stay responsible after the initial work is complete.
01
Start with what you actually need
Tell us what you're trying to accomplish. It may be a new website, an existing website that needs a better team behind it, custom functionality, accessibility work, or an app that needs to be taken over. You do not need to diagnose the solution yourself.
02
We put you on the right path
Depending on the situation, the next step may be a managed website plan, an existing-site review, a free accessibility scan, a free Ownership & Risk Review, or a custom-development consultation.
03
We build, improve, fix, or take over
Once the path is clear, we do the initial work: build the website, improve an existing site, remediate accessibility issues, stabilize an application, or engineer the custom functionality.
04
We stay involved
The relationship doesn't end just because something launches. Website subscriptions, website care, accessibility monitoring, and app maintenance give clients a real engineering team to call as their technology changes.
When work falls outside the normal scope of a monthly plan, we define and price that work before starting it. No surprise work.
02Choose your starting point
Which starting point sounds like you?
You don't need to know our service names. Pick the situation closest to yours.
I need a new website
Managed Websites — new build
For normal business websites, you can subscribe instead of paying a large upfront build cost. We build the website as part of the monthly service, then host, maintain, and improve it.
Already own a website? We can review what you have, identify anything that needs attention, and become the team responsible for keeping it healthy and improving it over time.
If the site needs major repair before normal care can begin, we will identify that before doing the extra work.
When your business needs software or functionality that does not already exist, our engineers scope and build it separately.
Connecting an existing booking, payment, CRM, or ecommerce system does not automatically make a project custom. Building new business logic, proprietary workflows, calculators, portals, or applications does.
Start with a free scan. If deeper testing is needed, the next step is a $2,500 website accessibility audit, followed by remediation and ongoing monitoring where appropriate.
The audit combines automated testing across the site with hands-on testing of key templates and critical user flows.
If a developer disappeared, an agency relationship changed, or an app needs to become production-ready, we can assess what you have, stabilize it, move critical control into the right accounts, and stay involved.
The principle is visibility. The tools and reporting cadence should match the engagement rather than forcing every client into the same project-management setup.
Clear scope
Before significant engineering work begins, you know what we're doing, what is included, and what happens if the scope changes.
Visible progress
When work is active, you can see what we're working on, what's next, and where things stand.
Direct communication
You know who owns the work and how to reach the team.
Tracked engineering time
Where time is relevant — custom development, included service allowances, or out-of-scope work — it is tracked rather than guessed after the fact.
No silent overages
If something falls outside the approved scope or included service, we stop and discuss it before doing billable work.

04The right cadence
Communication should match the work.
A large custom build may have weekly progress updates, staging links, tracked engineering time, and an active project board. Accessibility monitoring has its own reporting cadence. Routine website care is simpler. The rule is the same: you should never have to wonder what we're doing or where something stands.
01
Scope & status
What we're working on, what is waiting, and whether anything is blocked.
02
Time when relevant
Engineering time against an approved project scope or included allowance.
03
Something you can review
A staging link, preview, report, findings walkthrough, or live change depending on the engagement.
04
Next action
What happens next and whether we need anything from you.
05When needs grow
What if your website later needs something custom?
A monthly website service can still be the foundation. If you later need something genuinely custom — a proprietary workflow, calculator, portal, application, or other business-specific software — we scope that engineering separately rather than pretending it fits inside normal website updates.
Website plancustom project when needed
The website plan continues while the custom work is being built. When the custom project is complete, the normal website-plan pricing continues unless ongoing engineering support for that custom software was explicitly agreed to beforehand.
Final custom-feature support terms are documented in the written project agreement.
06Clear before you begin
Ownership depends on the type of engagement — and we explain it before you start.
01
Managed website we built
You are subscribing to a managed website service. The website is built and operated as part of that service, and you can purchase full ownership at any time for a written buyout price.
02
Website you already own
If you bring us a website you already own, it remains your asset. Normal improvements we make to that website remain with the site.
Major custom software may have separate ownership or support terms documented in the project agreement.
03
App Rescue / Takeover
Our Safe Landing process is designed to put critical operational control — domain, hosting, repositories, and infrastructure — into client-controlled accounts before cutover.
04
Custom Development
Ownership and deliverables are defined in the written project agreement before work starts.

Accessibility path
From first pass to verified findings.
The free scan is an automated first pass for obvious issues. The standard $2,500 audit adds an automated sweep across the covered site, human removal of false positives, keyboard and screen-reader testing, forms and errors, zoom and reflow, contrast, critical user-flow testing, prioritized findings, a remediation quote, and human review and sign-off.
Technical accessibility findings and services, not legal advice.
App Rescue path
Assess, stabilize, then maintain.
The free Ownership & Risk Review checks control of the domain, hosting, repository, credentials, and backups. The $3,500 Production Readiness Assessment reviews security, stability, scalability, code health, infrastructure, and priority fixes. Safe Landing replicates and verifies before cutover where applicable. Ongoing App Maintenance plans begin around $2,000/month.
